Okatee Baptist Preschool is a non-profit ministry of Okatee Baptist Church. Our program is developed to enrich families and help our children learn and grow to know and love God.

Objectives

Spiritual Objectives

Each child will have the opportunities to

enjoy stories from the Bible and know some Bible verses and songs
grow in his/her knowledge of God and His love for us
know that Jesus is God’s Son

Emotional Objectives

Each child will be guided to

gradually mature in emotional responses
properly express emotional feelings
face and overcome emotional situations

Physical Objectives

Each child will be taught to

develop fine and gross motor skills
establish desirable habits
know and follow rules of safety

Social Objectives

Each child will be encouraged to

play well with others
share with others
properly care for materials
participate in group activities
complete activities
clean up neatly after playtime
be a good helper
rest quietly

Curriculum

Okatee Baptist Preschool takes great pride in continually researching the most recent and developmentally appropriate curriculum for our students to follow. We take the responsibility of learning about new methods and deciding where and when to implement these up-to-date strategies in order to best serve our students and families with the quality childcare that they deserve.

Noah's Neighborhood uses the Abeka curriculum. Abeka provides an outstanding curriculum and textbooks built on a foundation of academic excellence and Christian character training. Our preschool benefits from the treasury of textbooks and teaching materials that reflect the very best in traditional, comprehensive education and eternal truths. Physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual development are equal in importance.
